What is FIRST?

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a global nonprofit organization that inspires young people to become the innovators, engineers, and leaders of tomorrow. Through hands-on robotics programs, FIRST provides students with opportunities to explore STEM, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence through teamwork and collaboration. By combining technical challenges with real-world experiences, FIRST empowers students to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

What is FRC?

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is the highest level of FIRST's robotics programs, designed for high school students to experience the excitement and challenges of engineering. Each season, teams are challenged to design, build, program, and compete with a new robot while working within a limited timeframe and budget. FRC combines the skills of engineering, programming, business, and teamwork as students collaborate to solve complex problems and compete at regional, national, and international events. Beyond robotics, FRC encourages leadership, innovation, and community outreach through the values of Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition.
