Our team is led by students: three Captains, a Project Manager, and a lead for each of our seven subteams. The mentors who back them up all season are introduced further down this page.
Senior Captain
Hey! I'm Sofia, and I'm a Senior. I started doing robotics in 2nd grade, and since then, it’s been a huge part of my life. Outside of robotics, I’m passionate about mental health awareness and technology in general. My favorite part about FIRST is the community it creates and how people come together in and out of the lab.
Operations Captain
Hi! I’m Olivia, and I’m a Senior. Ever since eighth-grade FLL, I’ve loved everything about robotics. I’m also on an FTC team (shoutout Fast but not Furious #21592!). My favorite part about FIRST is the competitions because of the passion and energy that is on the field. Besides robotics, I love crocheting, watching shows, and talking with friends.
Junior Captain
I’m Amelia, and I’m a Junior at Illinois Math and Science Academy! If I’m not in the lab or on Onshape, you can probably find me playing tennis or doing work for The Sex Ed Initiative. My favorite part of FIRST is how it helps driven people connect to solve problems.
Project Manager
Hi! I’m Ananya, and I’m a Senior. I’ve been doing robotics since 7th grade starting with VEX then FRC. Ever since, I’ve loved the hands-on aspect of robotics. Outside of FRC I have many creative interests such as photography, various art forms, and film analysis! My favorite part of FIRST is the community and how passionate people are about the team and competition.
Design Integration Lead
Hello! I’m Avery, I’m a Senior. I’ve been involved in FIRST programs since 5th grade. I’m heavily involved in nanoelectronics research and passionate about material science, currently working with transistors and photodiode arrays. My favorite non-STEM hobbies include military history and character design/ illustration. My favorite aspect of FIRST is its ability to foster community and bring people together for a common goal.
Mechanical Lead
Hey! I’m Vidhan, and I am a senior. I’ve been involved in warrior robotics formats since 4th grade. I am also heavily involved in research and development outside of robotics, and you can usually find me in MakerSpace outside of class. My favorite part of FIRST is the creativity and freedom that each team has in designing and building their robot.
Electrical Lead
Hey! My name is Jack, and I’m a Senior. I’ve done robotics since 2nd grade. My favorite hobbies are rocketry and volunteering, as I serve on many volunteer initiatives outside and inside of school. My favorite part about FIRST is the relationships you can make with so many like-minded individuals, and the experience you gain from one another.
Programming Lead
Hi, I’m Cinna! I’m a senior. While I’ve always been interested in robotics, I only got fully involved in my sophomore year here at IMSA. Besides robotics, I'm very interested in computer science, molecular biology and longevity research. My favorite part about FIRST is how it gives anybody the opportunity to develop skills with real-world applications.
Outreach Lead
Hi! I’m Isaac, and I'm a Senior. I’ve been involved with FIRST for 10 years now!! My favorite part about FIRST is the competitions because it is a great place to learn about other teams and see robots compete. Outside of FIRST, I love to dance, listen to music, and hang out with friends.
Finance Lead
What's up! It's your favorite finance lead, Max! I am a Senior this year, two years working as the Finance Lead. I've been with FIRST for four years now, and I am excited to spend another season helping fund my team. In FIRST, I’ve always loved the atmosphere and I hope to pave it forward in the future.
Relations Lead
Hey what's up! I’m Hayden, and I'm a Junior. I got involved with FIRST in 8th grade on a rookie FTC team, where I served as the programming lead for two years. At IMSA, I switched to FRC and fell in love with the new opportunities it offered. My favorite part about FIRST is the community and friendships you build!
