Season2025–26

Current Robot

This season's machine

Every season, we take a brand-new game challenge from a whiteboard sketch to a competition-ready robot. Here’s how it happens.

Full specs, features, weight, drivebase, and programming language live on the Current Season page.

Design Process

  1. Brainstorming

    Brainstorming

The team breaks down the new game and sketches out strategies and mechanism ideas together, making a needs-wants-don'ts list to guide priorities throughout the season.

  2. CAD

    CAD

Ideas become a full 3D model of the robot, where every part is designed and checked for fit before anything is built.

  3. Manufacturing

    Manufacturing

Parts are machined and fabricated from the CAD drawings, turning stock material into real robot components.

  4. Assembly

    Assembly

Subsystems come together as mechanisms are mounted, wired, and fitted onto the drivebase.

  5. Testing

    Testing

The robot runs on the practice field so drivers and programmers can find problems and fix them before competition.

  6. Competition

    Competition

The finished robot competes at official FRC events, with the whole team supporting from the pits and the stands.
